Mrs. Allison Pavlat

Mrs. Pavlat began working at JKL in January of 2016.  She is a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) which means that she helps students who have difficulties with speech sounds, verbal expression, language comprehension, fluency, and/or other communication difficulties.  Mrs. Pavlat is passionate about literacy and it's impact on language development.  She often uses books in therapy to promote language skills and foster a love of books.  Mrs. Pavlat believes in creating a strong collaboration among the parents, primary teacher, special education teacher, and support staff to best serve the individual needs of her students.  Mrs. Pavlat has been a SLP since 2001.  She has extensive experience working with individuals of all ages, from babies to the elderly, in the areas of language, cognition, and swallowing disorders.  She lives in the Sault with her husband, Travis, and their three children, Lauryn, Logan, and Liam.  Mrs. Pavlat loves to spend time reading, travelling, watching her children's sporting events, and enjoying time with her family.
